Let's do the blog warp again!

Once again, we were sitting down to tea, and Vwap-wap-wap! Rebecca appeared through a tachion ray and/or wormhole/transporter!
Tea with Pip. Andrew and I joined in, too.
Pip nicknamed Rebecca MyBecca. They colored with chalk on the walls.
They read books. Pip even scammed a fourth bedtime story by asking for it and being generally cute and Pip-like. Since MyBecca is a kindergarten teacher, you might imagine that she is an enthusiastic and accomplished picture book reader. You would be correct.
Here is Pemberley on Sunday playing with the taggies MyBecca made for her. She had one in each hand for awhile, but managed to kick one away.

We had a ball getting to see Rebecca. Her sister-in-law lives a little more than an hour from us, so Rebecca is able to take these side trips to see us when she comes to visit her relatives. Rebecca has known both of us since freshman year of college. (We shall draw a veil over some of our early characteristics and say that we were diamonds in the rough.) It's really cool to like someone for so long, because we all like one another better now than then, just because we've made life choices that have made us freer and happier people. And because Rebecca was always immensely likeable, it's kind of like having the best part of sunshine come to visit when she arrives. Then, on top of enjoying her company, we also feel better having seen her because she picked up our living room floor and sorted it for us. Rebecca said that if the house is clean when there's a new baby in the house, one of the parents hasn't bonded with the baby. So she jumped in and peeled stickers off the hardwoods and put away blankets and closed up toys and returned them to their shelves. I can walk without tripping! Hurrah!

Plus, Rebecca and Pip undertook some art projects while she was here. Now we have additions to our powder room art gallery.

I think "best part of sunshine" is a very good description for Rebecca.

Am I correct that the new picture on the right is the lamp post in the woods from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?

Yes! And Pip goes up to it each time he sees it and says, "MyBecca made that!"
