What's up, doc?

Here is some medical advice: if you get bit by a Lyme disease tick, stop scratching the stupid bite. Following my own advice, I'm posting these photos instead of itching at my shoulder.

Above: The fellows on a recent walk, Pip eating a cracker.
Above: Cousin D (too smart for Kindergarten, really), reading Green Eggs and Ham board/flip up book to Pip (with Pip's assistance lifting the flaps).
Above: Our new family umbrella for shading Pip while we walk since he categorically refuses to wear a hat.

The rest are just cute photos I took today of Pip with a CSA carrot. I thought I hated carrots, but I liked these. Talk about tasting again for the first time! Local organic sustainable farming rocks. Pip agrees. He pulled most of the leaves off this little carrot, then gnawed on it and played with it for awhile this morning.

last week

That's a double-meaning title, because this is the last week before my opera workshop AND the photos are from last week. I am uber-busy right now, finishing up prep for VBS games, packing, memorizing the rest of my music, trying to fit in as much time with my fellows as possible, and recovering from the blahs of a tick-borne illness and the antibiotic to treat it. We caught the bite before it had been on my shoulder too long, so I won't have to worry about long-term Lyme disease issues. Probably I was not exposed to the other sorts of tick illnesses. Bugs are so gross. I'm grossed out that I even wrote about this, but now you know why I've felt too tired to even bother with blogging.

Me and Pip at the church picnic Sunday of Memorial day weekend. Pip likes beans. Below is us after I wet his hair to cool him off.

Pip liked the walking stick. Here he is figuring out how to eat the strap thereof. By the way, we (meaning Andrew) finally got around to taking down the Christmas decorations. (Yay, Andrew!)

The baby likes his little sprinkler "pool." He wouldn't let go of that spoon for a few hours. He just used it to bat at the sprinkler streams.

Right. Well, got to run. I love these fellows so much!
