Easter egg hunt

Today we stayed home from church to recover from last night's vigil. After Pip's late morning nap, we got ready to go to our friends' place for Easter dinner and an egg hunt. Pip and his Poppa stuffed the finger puppets into the eggs.
Pip had fun playing with his special eggs.
After lunch, when it was time to hide the eggs, Pip helped Momma sort them.
Poppa and another poppa hid the eggs. The babies all knew just what to do with them when they found them.
Pip was very interested in the pinwheels. He spent a good ten minutes playing with and chewing on this one.

He was a very tuckered boy by the time we were leaving.

He slept on the way home and woke up to play and talk for the remainder of the evening. He sang "Alleluia" all through Compline, and was still singing, "Alleluia" moments before he fell sound asleep as Momma finished the final hymn.

Finger puppets as egg stuffers.... brilliant!

Michael looks like he had a very good Easter.

Thanks. None of the kids (oldest is almost 2) is old enough to have sugar, and the eggs had ventilation wholes, making them unfit for cereal. I wish I had thought of it during one of OTC's free shipping times, but I will plan ahead next year.

He had a blast! I couldn't post some of the most fun pics because I didn't want to put a lot of photos out there of the other kids. He tried to pull up on one of the girls and pulled her down. Then he let her mother comfort him, and I was all, "I think we're related now."
