Today we went to visit Sharon and them at their new house. It is gorgeous, and more importantly, we felt right at home. Pip had fun playing with the people, of course, but he also met his first cat.

Above: Yoda, a very sweet cat, at his favorite window.

Above: Pip's first meeting with Yoda, where they look each other over.

Above and Below: Pip's second meeting with Yoda (in the Duke blue room), in which he grabs Yoda's whiskers and Yoda just looks at him patiently. He is a sweet-natured cat and took some time from his busy cat schedule to get to know our sweet-natured boy.

Above: Before the day was over, he was stroking Yoda gently, and Yoda was sniffing him affectionately.

We also put the baby in hats. As one does.

I love seeing a baby in hats! Why is that?
I don't know, but we do, too. Perhas it's a sort of Bugs Bunny effect, with the absurd juxtaposition awakening some Jungian archetypes of human love and the futility of ambitions. Or maybe they are just so cute you wanna cry.
